The Hideaway, Stratford Upon Avon
Completed in the summer of 2014. A large house remodelling in the green belt of Stratford Upon Avon.
The client was of an adventurous nature and decided to purchase a some what run down two bedroom bungalow. The site had potential but required a lot of love and many hours of design and effort on site.
The aim was to convert a redundant garage into a inviting open plan kitchen and living space. ED Architecture's role was to provide a planning permission and building regulations full design service.
The result; the bungalow has now become a five bedroom family home with a large open plan feature kitchen and living space.
The design presents itself somewhat modest from the outside but on entering the illusion is revealed with ceiling heights towering above 3m. With six large 2m x 1m rooflights mounted in the roof, natural daylight floods the space. The client is very happy with the outcome and was very proud to say that his new feature space housed a 150 person party recently.
